Eye Care for Teens

Periodic eye and vision examinations are an essential part of preventive health care. Many eye and vision problems have no visible signs or symptoms, and as a result, individuals are often unaware that problems exist. Early diagnosis and treatment of eye and vision problems are important for maintaining good vision and eye health, and when possible, preventing vision loss.

Family Eye Care is dedicated to providing outstanding, comprehensive eye care for adult patients. Whether you need treatment for an eye problem, preventative care, or consultation, Dr. Alma Jacobsen is ready to help you.

Adult Eye Care Focus: Computer Vision Syndrome

Do you spend a significant amount of time in front of the computer? Do your eyes feel tired by the end of the day and find it difficult to focus? Do you notice more redness and dryness or burning in your eyes after spending several hours in front of the computer? You may be experiencing computer vision syndrome.

Computer use is an extremely visually stressful task which demands a lot of effort from your eyes' focusing system. By the end of the day, our focusing system is fatigued if not exhausted. If you experience any or all of the above symptoms, aides such as prescription computer glasses and non-medicated lubricant eye drops may help alleviate the strain on your eyes and make your eyes just feel much more comfortable throughout the day.
